PSYCHOLOGICAL SELF HEALING

I have developed an interest in the study of chemicals that influence our brain. Furthermore I am interested in how we can change these chemicals only by thought and physical effort. I am inquisitive about the effects this chemistry have on our dreams, and if our dreams might be events triggered by inheritable factors from a time hominids had more control and power over their mind. I am not a specialist and have no qualifications in the field, but through self-study in my free time and making some of my own observations over time dealing with a multitude of different people in my life, I have formed some opinions of my own in this matter. I think my opinions is kind of in contradiction with science and the use of medicine for psychological disorders. However I do not contempt the value of science as an instrument of understanding and evaluating the facts. I just feel that we should take a step back and look at the possibility, that there are other ways that might have gone lost over time. Healing by thought “meditation” and touch. Is it possible to access a world “like a spiritual world” beyond the one we live in?

In the world we live in today there are many different philosophies on who we are and where we come from. So many different beliefs and religions, with some being alike and others worlds apart. Where did everything start? Are we evolving in a positive way, or are we being destructive to ourselves. Could there once have been people on earth with minds that were capable of healing by touch? Are our minds as strong as it could be or are there undiscovered or even lost abilities we don't know of? Are the apostles we read about in the ancient texts and scriptures not people that could heal by touch or even words? Was that not a power possessed by people before our time that went lost not recorded over time and evolution. Did humans turn towards easier ways to do things, thinking that science and medicine are the future and by not understanding the unnatural or unexplained, decided to part from it?

I am on a pursuit to rediscover this critical powers once possessed by the human kind. I am exploring possibilities of healing people with words. I want to discover the possibilities of using our dreams that is in our subconscious to redirect our bodies, mind and soul. Phycologists are indeed practicing some of these techniques today, but I feel it can go to a more extreme level, if investigated and understood in a more open-minded way. I would like to have a deeper understanding of our dreams and where it comes from. There are quite a great deal of discussions and sleep experiments regarding how and why we dream when we sleep, and I would still further my knowledge on these, but I think and feel that there might be more to it.

Evolution

Through my recent research reading articles, books, blogs and viewing a spectrum of videos I noticed that through time there is a strong link between psychology, philosophy, and theology. This is a topic I would still like to elaborate on as I gain more knowledge. Different branches of each discipline spreads out into a magnitude of directions. It is like a river that splits into different directions and into smaller streams but re-join again at some point. The past month my focus turned to the history of philosophy, more directed to Western philosophy. It was if a whole new world unfolded in front of my eyes and the more I got to read the more questions I needed to be answered. The more I searched for answers I was discovering even more and more vivid information. For me some days felt like there were not enough hours to get through everything I wanted to study. And this being self-study with no guidelines or restriction on what to read and where to get it from, or prescribed lectur...
